I’ve always been fascinated by words and the effect they can have. Whether they be contained in a poem, a song, a letter, a book, even an outburst, words, are “it”! They evoke a response, an emotion – happiness, joy, anger, frustration, passion. Whatever you are feeling, whatever your opinion, you are able to reduce it to words. Reducing my thoughts or feelings to words often has a beneficial, if not therapeutic effect on me – I always feel better afterwards, maybe it should be “afterwords”!.
There are many things going on in our lives at the moment – a lot of travel, restoring a classic car, reflecting on the political situation we find ourselves living through, watching and experiencing our grandchildren’s development and evolution from babies to adults, withdrawing from a business built up over many years and handing it on to the next generation – so many new and different things. Hence a Blog, which hopefully will serve as both a record and a reflection of the things we experience and the places we visit and who knows, may be helpful to someone who reads my mental meanderings.
